Becky Hammer
4 – 5 Year Olds
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
My name is Becky Hammer, and I am delighted to have your precious child in my class! In 2022, I had the great privilege of working alongside of Mrs. Haun as her assistant.
I have been semi-retired for over 5 years previously working in corporate asset management which opened the door to serve many communities throughout the U.S. and worldwide.
I have had the opportunity to share life with parents and children walking alongside pointing them to Jesus. Mentoring and discipleship is primary in my life and the lives of my family.
Working at Bethany Busy Bee provides the ability to serve and share the love of Jesus with those I interact with. My desire working with children and their families is to offer a loving, supportive, caring, and a kind environment which enables children to thrive. When parents and caregivers walk through the doors of Bethany Busy Bee, they know it is a genuine place – full of love, joy, patience, kindness, and laughter.

Mrs. Hammer’s Lunch Bunch Cooking Class Recipes
Cooking class has started off with great success! From learning about “thank you” bites to savoring the delicious food they create, it’s a joy to witness the children’s excitement and pride as they complete each recipe.
The first week, the focus was on peeling and cutting — such a wonderful milestone to see them accomplish. We also made homemade ranch dressing, which was a hit.
Ranch Dressing
¼ cup Mayo
¼ cup sour cream
½ cup buttermilk
1 tbl onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbl dried herbs
1 tsp of dill
Salt/pepper to taste
(feel free to adjust dried herbs accordingly)
Apple Donuts
Second week, the recipe was a special treat: apple donuts! These were made by coring and slicing Honeycrisp apples into ½-inch rounds, then wrapping puff pastry strips through the center. Once assembled, we dipped them in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and baked them for about 40 minutes. A simple, delicious dessert you can easily try at home!
Honeycrisp apples
1 – box of Trader Joes puff pastry (this is excellent because it is made with butter)
Cinnamon/Sugar to taste
Wash apples, core, slice into rounds. Roll out dough, cutting into strips. Carefully wrap the apple with the dough. May take 2-3 pieces depending upon how big the apple is. Once covered, dip into Cinnamon/sugar. Bake at 375-400, for about 40 minutes.
Enjoy!
