1st & 2nd Grade Hybrid Homeschool Program and K-2 Enrichment Only Program
Busy Bee Hybrid is a unique program where teachers and parents partner together in the education of their child. We are dedicated to creating a Christ-centered environment, where children’s God-given talents are celebrated.
Teachers are sensitive to children’s individual gifts, helping children find their unique place in school & community while providing a nurturing environment with smaller class sizes.
We established a hybrid homeschooling model that offers first grade and second grade students two days on campus and three days off campus. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45am to 1:45pm, students in the hybrid program will receive two full days of instruction in math, language arts, Bible and enrichment classes: art, music, history, geography and science. The hybrid program includes lesson plans for the parent/guardian to use at home for the off campus days. The monthly tuition is $360 per month for 9 equal payments from September to May.
Each month the teacher will create lesson plans for use both on and off campus. These plans give parents the tools and direction needed so they can be confident in their ability to be their child’s primary teacher at home for the other three days of the week. The curriculum will include Logic of English and Saxon Math.
This hybrid homeschool model provides parents an opportunity to partner with teachers to cultivate a multi-faceted learning experience for their children.
The K-2 Enrichment Only Program offers students a drop off, on campus two half days on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45am to 1:45pm enrichment only classes for $180 per month.
Enrichment classes currently include: art, music, history, geography and science.

Samantha Gervais, Teacher
My name is Samantha Gervais and I am so excited to be launching and teaching our first grade hybrid program! I love the strong sense of community amongst staff, families, and children in the classroom at Busy Bees and feel God’s grace. I am so proud to be part of such a positive place! I have been teaching since 2014 and have taught Preschool, Kindergarten , and Second Grade.
I am originally from Texas and have my Masters in Elementary Education from Texas State University. My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2019 and we have 3 children. We fell in love with Busy Bees for our children and wanted to create a nurturing and enriching elementary school option as they grow which led me to opening up this wonderful program for all. I also serve on the Busy Bee board and am passionate about teaching and providing a flexible schooling option that is individualized and fosters each child and their growth. Thank you for partnering along with me in this homeschool hybrid program, it’s going to be a great year!
Charlene Vicari, Teacher
I started working at Bethany Busy Bee as of January, 2024. I have a degree in aerospace engineering, and I worked as a NASA engineer before joyfully becoming a stay at home mom in 2003 with the birth of my first daughter. I have homeschooled my two children for the entirety of their educational years. My oldest, Julianne, graduated in 2021 and is now attending the University of Wyoming. My second daughter, Erica, will graduate from high school in the spring of 2024. I have worked for or volunteered with children’s programs for over two decades. Some of my previous roles include teaching Sunday school, leading Vacation Bible School programs, teaching for Classical Conversations (a homeschool group), and volunteering as a unit leader for the American Heritage Girls program.
Currently, in addition to working at Bethany Busy Bee, I am working as a teacher for Artios Academies of Greenwood Village where I teach math and science to upper elementary and middle school students. I am excited to once again work with preschool children. I love their eager enthusiasm for learning!
